This week, the student blogging challenge (which can be found here) was related to digital connections.
One of the tasks was to create a mind map about how you are connected (Activity 2). I use a website called www.text2mindmap.com to make my mind map. So, here it is. Click on the image to make it bigger.
This week’s 100 wc can be found here: http://100wc.net/2013/10/20/week8/
The topic is something about a night zoo. The task is to oh I forget, let’s see what the site says ( 🙂 🙂 😉 )
create your own scary character to live in the Night Zoo and write a hundred words about it. Remember to use terrifying adjectives to scare your classmates and the 100 Word Challenge team!
Ok. So here is my ‘scary character’ 100 wc
If I was to create a scary character to live in the night zoo, it would have to be the formidable java beast. He has a body shaped like a giant purple-black, possessed old fashioned typewriter, and a haunted computer as a brain. He has enormous scary eyes shaped like giant iPads! Why is he so scary, you ask? Well at night he sneaks into people’s homes and messes up java on their computers so when they wake up, they can’t play minecraft (which uses Java). And trust me, it’s scary to live without minecraft!
It’s back again… the Student Blogging Challenge! :)! I am choosing Number 3 (as listed here http://studentchallenge.edublogs.org/2013/09/08/week-1-introductions/) which is to (as stated on the blog) ‘You are going to start getting visitors to your blog. Do you have some questions you would like them to answer? Write a post asking questions for your visitors to answer about themselves.’
So below, is an interactive questionnaire for this challenge.
This weeks prompt wasn’t a sentence, it was a photo! The photo will be below the entry for this week. As for the main part of the post, well here it is!
I was walking down the beach on a hot summer’s day for a swim and saw two humongous footprints. I thought ‘How on earth did those massive footprints get there?’ So I walked closer to the footprints, leaned over and took a look. Unfortunately, I leaned over too far and fell into the footprint. I got up and shook all of the sand off me. All the other people started looking at me oddly because I had fallen in the sand. How embarrassing! I said “It’s not funny people, it’s actually quite dangerous!” But they just started laughing.
This week the prompt was …My heart was beating incredibly fast…
So here it is!
I needed some diamonds, so I went down to my mine and started digging. When I reached 32 meters deep I saw what I thought was Herobrine! My heart was beating incredibly fast! So I placed a torch on the ground, as nervous as I was, and saw that it was only my friend playing a trick on me. I thought ‘phew’ in relief, and kept on mining. I eventually found some diamonds. But… how was I going to get out, since I forgot to place ladders on the side of the hole. How long will my hunger bar last?
